Cornell-Nepal Study Programme provided financial assistance of US $500 to the library. The amount was used to prepare 303 audio cassettes of textbook to support blind student studying in University Campus.
International ISBN Agency, Berlin nominated T. U. Central Library as a National ISBN Agency for Nepal
American Study; a special collection was established in the library. The collection includes 1,300 volumes of books, Computer –1 and Office table –1
Mr. K. Yoshida, Vice President of the Soka Gakkai International Japan presented 504 volumes of books on various subjects worth of Rs. 22,00,000 to the library
Mr. Kim Pyong Hya, Acting Ambassador of Democratic People's Republic of Korea presented books to the T.U. Central Library 600 vols.
